Grade 9 Day

Fun, Games & Service

This September,  100 grade 9 students from Hamilton District Christian High were divided into 9 teams for a day of excitement.

“I made new friends. When I went on the school bus, I sat next to another girl and now we are really close. The balloon launch was fun too.”

After a quick assembly, students and staff participated in several games. Then they were off to help out at either City Kidz, Salvation Army, or Good Shepherd to help clean and organize.

“I liked making new friends, and playing games and competing with the other teams.”

It was a beautiful day for a box lunch at the pier before the Scavenger Hunt, water balloon launch and Go-karting in the afternoon. They even squeezed in enough time for bowling!

“It was alot of fun. I liked the go-karting.”

Once we were back at HD, we invited grade 9 parents to join us for a welcome BBQ. The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and we enjoyed dinner inside. It was a great day.
