HDCH Captures Bronze in OFSAA Boys A Volleyball

Hamilton District Christian High Senior Boys Volleyball Team had an exceptional season, capping it off with a bronze medal victory at the OFSAA Boys A Volleyball Tournament in Woodbridge.

The HDCH Knights went 3-1 in pool play with their only loss coming to the eventual champions, Louis Riel. After winning an emotional quarterfinal match against Durham Christian High School, they lost the next day in a tough five-set match in the semifinal against Toronto District Christian High.

It was an unforgettable season for the ‘Mountain men,’”~ Joseph van der Woerd (Libero and Co-captain).

The team advanced to a very challenging bronze medal match against Brampton Christian Academy: the sets went  25-23, 19-25, 20-25 and 25-21, but HDCH won 18-16 in the fifth set to secure the bronze medal. This is the first time HDCH has won a medal at OFSAA for boys volleyball.
