Suspension of On-Campus Learning through April 5th
Updated March 12, 2020 6:30 pm
Following the announcement this afternoon from the Ministry of Education to close all publicly funded schools from March 14 – April 5, 2020, we have made the decision to suspend all on-campus learning and extra-curriculars at HDCH following the March break until April 5. As noted in my communication to you yesterday, we have already begun considering how we can continue to deliver classes for students remotely in the event of such an on-campus closure.
The Ministry of Education has not yet indicated what their plans will entail for learning during or after their closures, nor what expectations may be for private schools like ours for online delivery. Our hope is to continue classes online as soon as possible after the March break.
We will continue to monitor the situation, communicate with the Ministry of Education and Edvance, our Christian school association, and will update you as circumstances warrant. We will use Edsby School Talk and email for such communications, as well as post updates on our social media platforms.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you, parents and students, in the learning journey.
In the meantime, please continue to pray for the health and safety of all impacted by this.
