Popsicle Stick Bridge Winner
Harry Chen, grade 12 student at Hamilton District Christian High, earned first place over 115 competitors at the annual Mohawk College Popsicle Stick Bridge contest. Harry’s bridge held nearly 1200 pounds which is over 3100 times its own weight.
Each year, students are invited to put their engineering skills to the test. Bridges constructed out of Popsicle sticks and glue that carry the greatest number of times their own weight before shattering in a testing jig are the winners.
Congratulations to all of the Hamilton District Christian High representatives at Mohawk College’s Popsicle Bridge contest.
